About Us<\/p><\/h3><\/div>

INTEX was founded in Basel in the 1990s with the purpose of manufacturing and developing pharmaceutical, immunological, and medical diagnostic products. Initially, we worked for Hoffmann-La Roche. Subsequently, the production of human menopausal gonadotropin for the pharmaceutical company Serono was a major and successful challenge for us. With the Serono HMG production, we entered the pharmaceutical production sector.<\/p>\n

Our strong economic background enabled us to fully enter the development of Point of Care (rapid diagnostics). Several influential researchers from Roche Diagnostics joined our INTEX team. All diagnostic products (except CRP with down-flow technology) are produced using lateral flow technology.<\/p>\n

We were able to submit the diagnostic products as early as 2003 and have them registered with the following institutions:
\nSwissmedic (CH), Freiburg Regional Council (EU registration), OGYI (Hungary).<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

All registrations were processed according to EU Directives 98\/7679EG \u2013 including the declaration of conformity. We were certified for compliance with GMP guidelines for production.<\/p>\n

Our loyal customers include various renowned private and university hospitals, several major distributors, and numerous medical practices in Switzerland and Germany. Validations have been carried out.<\/p>\n

In 1998, INTEX received an innovation award in Germany for exemplary diagnostics development from the state of Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg, named after Dr. Rudolf Eberle. It is one of the oldest and most prestigious awards in Germany.<\/p>\n

There is intensive collaboration in research and development with the Molecular Biology Institute of the University of Basel. The purpose is continuous quality control and the development of new tests.<\/p>\n
